Progress of consolidation, embankment stability, rates of settlement due to staged and surcharged loading, as well as pore pressure dissipation from vertical drains were measured with most common types of instrument used for embankment monitoring: 4500 piezometer series, 6400 casing and 6000 inclinometer probe, 1900 or 1950 settlement extensometers, 4651 settlement profiler system, and surveying settlement plates with rods.
